When I teach French, I want my students to start communicating from the very beginning. We talk about real life: food, travel, family, work, dreams, funny stories… whatever makes the conversation interesting.
And yes, we make mistakes!
Mistakes are not something to be embarrassed about. They are part of learning. Every time you try to say something new, you are training your brain to think in French instead of simply translating into French.
That’s when something wonderful starts to happen.
One day, instead of thinking:
“How do I say this in French?”
…you simply say it.
